TOLEDO, Ohio — Bob Latta re-elected to U.S. House for Ohio’s 5th District
Incumbent Bob Latta has secured another term as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 5th Congressional District. Unofficial results show Latta winning with 140,063 votes, while his opponent, Keith Mundy, received 73,943 votes.
Latta, a Republican who has served in Congress since 2007, campaigned on his record of fiscal responsibility, national security, and support for local businesses. His victory reinforces his stronghold in a district that has consistently leaned conservative.
Throughout his campaign, Latta emphasized his experience and commitment to conservative principles. His re-election is seen as a mandate to continue his work on key issues such as reducing government spending, enhancing national security and supporting the agricultural sector, which is vital to the district’s economy.
As Latta prepares for his next term, he has pledged to remain focused on the needs and concerns of his constituents. His tenure is expected to bring continued advocacy for policies that promote economic growth, job creation, and a strong national defense.
The official results will be confirmed after the official canvass takes place.
