OHIO, USA — Time is running out to register to vote in Ohio as the November election nears.
The deadline to register to vote online, by mail or in person at your local election office is Monday, Oct. 7.
To register to vote online, you will need to provide an Ohio driver's license or Ohio identification card number, name, date of birth, address and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
The Ohio Secretary of State's office says if you register or update your information after the deadline, the change will apply for the next election. You can register to vote online at this link.
Another deadline approaching is for requesting an absentee ballot. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is close of business on Tuesday, Oct. 29, seven days before Election Day.
The ballot can be returned by mail and postmarked by Monday, Nov. 4 or returned in person by Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. To learn more about absentee ballot voting, click here.
Following the close of voter registration, registered voters can cast an early in-person ballot on Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at their county board of elections. For a list of early in-person voting in your county, click here.
