OTTAWA COUNTY, OH (Press Release) - Ottawa County Sheriff Stephen Levorchick released a statement saying Randall Ross was released from St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center in Toledo on Wednesday, and was immediately taken into custody by deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's statement, Ross is being charged with aggravated murder for the shooting death of his wife Amy Ross on March 27 at her sisters house north of Oak Harbor.  Ross shot himself in the head twice, but survived.

He has been at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo since the incident; most of that time in intensive care. Ottawa County is now responsible for his medical care and costs.

Ross was arraigned via internet video from his hospital bed Thursday afternoon and an Ottawa County Municipal Court Judge ordered him held on a 10 million dollar cash bond. He will be held in a correctional facility capable of providing the medical care he requires.
