TOLEDO, Ohio — Monday night, the story of Sierah Joughin will be shared with a nationwide audience, just a few days short of the anniversary of her death.
Airing Monday night on the Oxygen Channel, "Buried in the Backyard" will tell the story of Sierah Joughin's murder, including interview with her family.
Joughin was killed on July 19, 2016 in Fulton county.
James Worley was found guilty during the following murder trial and sentenced to death.
Tara Ice, Sierah's aunt and president of Justice for Sierah LLC, said they are happy to know Joughin's story is being shared with a wider audience.
Along with the passage of Sierah's Law last year, and the annual Spirit of Sierah run here in Ohio, Ice hopes Sierahs' story can help get similar Violent Offender Database law based across the country.
"I think the importance is it's getting her name out, her story. And it's talking about Sierah's Law, and the good that has come from such a tragedy. And also, getting his name out there, in case there's any information on anything that's unsolved," Ice said.
The episode featuring Sierah's story will air Monday at 8 p.m. on the Oxygen channel.
