Sex offender arrested in OH before his wedding

U.S. marshals in fact discovered his location through a marriage license application.

GAHANNA, OH (WTOL) - U.S. marshals say Anthony Ross is a wanted sex offender who has been on the run for years, but they arrested him the day before his wedding.

They in fact discovered his location through a marriage license application.

Ross' fiance reportedly had no idea of his dangerous past and is said to be devastated.

"We found a marriage license for Anthony Ross and his fiance issued a couple weeks prior with the address in Gahanna, and then we went over and found them there," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan Deville. "He was getting in his car to leave and we drove up, ID'd him, ID'd ourselves and arrested him."

Neighbors watched in shock as Ross was arrested. The wedding was canceled, and DC police say they're working to extradite him back to Washington.
