'We're gonna get justice for our mom' | Dee Warner's daughter reacts to arrest of stepfather

Dee Warner's daughter Rikkell Bock spoke with WTOL 11 after the arrest of her stepfather Dale Warner for the murder of her mother.

ADRIAN, Mich. — In August, Rikkell Bock, one of Dee Warner's daughters, took the stand to testify during a hearing to declare Dee Warner dead.

She and other family members asked a court to declare Warner, missing since April, 2021, dead.

"It was really nerve racking only because I was, you know, almost reliving that day," said Bock, on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Bock received a call while at work letting her know that her stepfather, Dale Warner, had been arrested and charged with her mother's murder.

"I was in disbelief for one. I waited 2 1/2 years for this day to come but the reality of hearing it hurt more than I could ever imagine," said Bock.

For more than two years, Dee Warner's disappearance was often considered by many people to be just that - a disappearance - a missing persons case.

But from the very beginning Bock said she and her family believed Dee Warner had been murdered and that Dale Warner was the killer.

"After 2 1/2 years of everybody saying 'She's missing. She's missing. She's missing', I'm not even sure how to put into words. It was like 'finally I know I'm not crazy. I know that my gut I was right'."

Bock said Dale Warner's arrest is the beginning of the end and the truth is finally coming out

"We're gonna finally get some sort of an answer. We're gonna get justice for our mom. I know that in my heart," Bock said.

On Saturday, the family will hold a Justice for Dee rally in downtown Adrian starting at 2 p.m.
