Bryan Kohberger transferred to Ada County Jail in Boise, Idaho

He will be held at the jail until his trial, scheduled for June 2025.
Brian Kohberger is accused of killing four Idaho college students in 2022.

BOISE, Idaho — Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing four University of Idaho students, has been transferred from Moscow, Idaho to the Ada County Jail in Boise, Idaho.

Kohberger was taken to Boise on the Idaho State Police plane, tail number N121TD. He arrived at the Boise airport on Sunday, Sept 15 at 8:21 a.m. Captain Ryan Jensen of the Ada County Sheriff's Office said several factors were taken into consideration for transporting Kohberger.

"First and foremost, was wanting to do it in the safest and most efficient way. Thanks to a wonderful partnership with the Idaho State Police, we were able to use their aircraft because it just simply made the most sense given the distance of travel and complications that may have come up using ground transportation," Captain Jensen said.

KTVB obtained video from NBC of Kohberger leaving the Moscow/Pullman Airport and also had one crew at the Boise Airport, confirming his arrival, and one at the Ada County Jail.

The venue for the trial was recently changed from Moscow to Boise when a judge stated Kohberger was more likely to receive a fair trial in Ada County due to extensive media coverage, misinformation and because Ada County has more resources.
