TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Toledo police are searching for 18-year-old Gerald Banks who is wanted for the murder of 18-year-old Marquan McCuin Collins.

Detectives say the two knew each other.

"Evidently, he saw him ride by and knew who it him was or saw him talking to somebody," said Toledo Police Sergeant Phil Toney. "He spotted him, grabbed a gun and fired down the alley at him."

McCuin Collins was shot and killed when he made a late night run for food Sunday. Police have now issued an arrest warrant for Banks, saying he shot McCuin Collins in a back alley.

Another shooting victim dies

Eric Daniels, 41, has died at the hospital after a separate shooting on Sunday.

Daniels was shot at a car show at the corner of Detroit and Monroe. His death is the 14th homicide in Toledo for the year.

Police task force

A Toledo police task force is now working overtime to get illegal guns off of the streets. Since the task force hit the streets June 27, officers have taken 27 guns off the streets. There were 11 guns  confiscated over Fourth of July weekend.
