TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Michael Taylor III, 18, will appear before a judge Monday after turning himself in to police for a murder charge in the death of 20-year-old Darrin Smith, Jr.
Taylor turned himself in around 8:30 Sunday morning.
Toledo police say the two were fighting in central Toledo Taylor pulled out a gun and shot Smith twice late Saturday. The deadly shooting happened around 11 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Grand. Emergency crews took him to Mercy St. Vincent where he later died.
Smith's father is upset over the way he says his family was treated at the hospital, saying, "They were real unsympathetic."
