TOLEDO (WTOL) - The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department has equipment it can no longer use, and are hoping it can help another department in Mexico.
TFD has helmets, fire pants, boots and other gear that are no longer serviceable in the United States, but are okay for a less-funded department to use elsewhere.
The equipment is perfectly fine, it has just reached it’s expiration date in the U.S.
Battalion Chief Karen Marquardt says it feels great to be able to give the equipment away to a department that really needs it.
The equipment will go to a department outside Cancun, Mexico
