TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) - A private tennis coach from Tiffin is facing charges he had inappropriate sexual contact with a 17-year-old female student.

David Kimmet, 64, is accused of sending graphic sexual messages to the 17-year-old.  Nude pictures of the girl were found in a search of Kimmet's residence.

Kimmet is accused of having engaged in sexual conduct with the girl between January and March of this year.

Kimmet is also the former Tiffin Calvert tennis coach, but Calvert principal Dominic Helmstetter says the investigation does not involve the school.

"He was employed as a tennis coach here, probably about two years ago and he was here for a number of years prior to that. To my knowledge, we had not received any of these types of concerns during his employment so we're just going to do everything that we can to help aid the process if we're needed for that," said Helmstetter.

Kimmet faces a pair of charges, including sexual battery. He appeared in court Tuesday and was given a $50,000 bond.

His next court appearance will be June 14.
