WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — A Toledo man is currently behind bars following an investigation into the sexual assault of multiple children, all under the age of 10.
Jonathon Wright, 24,was arrested Thursday following a three-month investigation.
That investigation went before a Wood County grand jury where they issued 64 indictments agains Wright.
Lake Township police Chief Mark Hummer says 3 months ago, a woman contacted Wood County childrens services with worries about Jonathon Wright.
That investigation lead to evidence that Wright had sexually assaulted three different Lake Township children since 2014, all three were under the age of ten, the youngest being between four and five.
Chief Hummer said Wright was known by the families of the victims.
Hummer also says even though Wright is in custody, the investigation is not being closed, and they will continue to look for additional victims.
"We're going to keep looking. We will keep looking with the surrounding agencies, particularly TPD, Toledo Police department where he lives. Just to make sure that there are no further victims out there that number one, need our assistance," said Hummer.
As of now, an arraignment for Jonathon Wright has not been set yet, because court clerks say with so many charges, the appearance in court could take all day.
