TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity was cut a big check on Monday morning.
The Toledo Roadrunners club presented a $12,700 check to the charity.
That money was raised during the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon and the Owens Corning Half Marathon.
Habitat for Humanity said that these funds will help them help the community.
"We're celebrating this year our 30th anniversary and the impact in our community, with regards to affordable housing, and for us that means home ownership and repairs for people who own their own homes, it couldn't happen. It just would not happen without great support like we get from Owens Corning," said Michael McIntyre, Executive Director of the Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity.
The funds, along with other contributions from sponsored runners, will be used to build homes, communities, and hope in Lucas County.
