Toledo's newest restaurant uses opening to benefit charity

Toledo's newest restaurant, Revolution Grille, opened Tuesday evening, and half of the proceeds will go the charity Kids Unlimited.

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) – Toledo's newest restaurant, Revolution Grille, opened Tuesday evening, and half of the proceeds will go the charity Kids Unlimited.

The new eatery is located on the 5300 block of Monroe Street in west Toledo.

Revolution Grille is owned by Chef Rob Campbell. Campbell is a former chef from Mancy's Bluewater Grill and Ciao. He says he's aiming to do new things in this restaurant.

Their menus come on tablets, which suggest wines and pairings as you make your selections. Visitors can also sit right along the kitchen and talk to the chefs. Chef Campbell says visitors will see old favorites with several twists.

"That's exciting to not have to follow a recipe all the time and create every day, rather than once a month or seasonally or every six months when people want to change the menu. We're just gonna constantly evolve," said Campbell.

Prices are generally below $30, with entrees starting at about $20, and sandwiches starting at about $10.
