HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) - Two people were killed in an airplane crash early Sunday morning outside of Findlay.
The small private plane went down around 1 a.m. on County Road 18, between Township Road 215 and County Road 216, in Cass Township.
Ralf Bronnenmeier was the pilot of the plane. He and a female passenger were pronounced dead at the scen of the crash.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, a male pilot and a female passenger were on board the plane. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The airplane was a Lancair small aircraft traveling from Holland, Michigan to Bluffton, Ohio.
Investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office were on scene investigating what caused the plane to crash Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
According to the Findlay Courier, Bronnenmeier served as the Chief Executive Officer of Grob Systems in Bluffton. He also served Governor John Kasich's Executive Workforce Board since 2012.
