TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - University of Toledo spokesman Jon Strunk says women's soccer coach Brad Evans resigned on Tuesday.
The University did not say why Evans resigned, but in a statement the former coach said he used "poor judgement." Evans went on to say that some of his interactions with former co-workers were "against university policy."
Read Evans' full statement on his resignation below:
"A few weeks back I was asked to answer questions about my relationships about some past co-workers. It was clear that my interactions with those co-workers demonstrated poor judgment on my part, and were against university policy, and resigning was best for all involved."
"This is another step in the process I began over a year ago. With the help of counseling, I have learned a lot about the causes of my behavior. I am extremely lucky to have the support of my wife in this process. Together, I continue to learn to become a better person."
"I am deeply sorry to have disappointed the University of Toledo, the athletic department and everyone affiliated with UT Soccer. I am looking forward to a more positive future."
