OHIO, USA — Yes, Ohio really is "The Heart of It All."
As Mike Tyson and Jake Paul get set to square off in the ring Friday night in Texas, both boxers have put down roots in the Buckeye State at one time or another.
Mike Tyson's time in northeast Ohio
In 1989, Tyson purchased a mansion in Trumbull County's Southington Township, roughly 45 miles southeast of Cleveland. Tyson lived at the home in 1995 to be closer to promoter Don King's camp in Orwell, where he trained.
"Iron Mike" sold the 25,000-square-foot home in 1999. It sat vacant for years until the space was donated by a previous owner to a church.
And yes, the now 58-year-old Tyson did dedicate part of the mansion to four real, living tigers.

Jake Paul's Ohio roots
Jake Paul, who made his fame as a YouTuber and social media influencer before breaking into the boxing scene in recent years, also has ties to northeast Ohio.
The 27-year-old is a native of Westlake, roughly 15 miles west of Cleveland. His brother, Logan, is also a popular social media influencer as well as a WWE superstar.
Jake Paul returned to Cleveland in 2021 for a boxing match against former UFC fighter Tyron Woodley at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
When is the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight?
Tyson and Paul squared off Thursday night for their weigh-in ahead of Friday's bout and the fireworks started quickly. As the two went face-to-face, Tyson hit Paul in the face and the boxers had to be separated.
They will do the real thing Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
How to watch the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight
The fight will air live on Netflix and anyone with a subscription to the streaming service will be able to watch. The main card starts at 8 p.m. with three fights scheduled to take place before the Tyson-Paul matchup.
Tyson, regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, was 50-6 with 44 knockouts in his career. He retired in 2005 and hasn't seen in-ring action since an exhibition fight in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr. That match finished in a draw.
Paul is 10-1 in his early boxing career, most recently with a win over Mike Perry in July.
