BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — In round two of the Battle of I-75 in women's basketball, Toledo is eyeing a season sweep of Bowling Green on Saturday.

The Rockets and Falcons met for the first time this season just two weeks ago which ended in a double-digit win for UT.

Toledo currently sits in a first-place tie with Ball State in the Mid-American Conference standings. A win not only goes a long way toward their goals of a MAC championship, but it also secures a sweep over their archrivals.

"You always have to be ready for each other. I don't care what anyone's record is, I don't care about anything that anyone says. Both teams always play extremely well against one another and I think the biggest thing is just being prepared," Toledo head coach Tricia Cullop said. "They're a very, very good team, they're well coached, and I want my team to be ready at the tip to play their best basketball."

"We look at it the same way. We're coming out to win, not anything less or anything more," Toledo guard Quinesha Lockett said. "Just come out and win and get the dub."

For the Falcons, although they've dealt with injuries, they're still in the thick of the MAC standings as they are looking to return to Cleveland for the conference tournament.

BGSU head coach Fred Chmiel is also looking for his first win in the Battle of I-75 as his team tries to earn a regular season split with their rivals.

"Anytime you play somebody twice, you get a good feel for them but they've gotten better in the last 14 days. You can see it on film. We have to prepare for everything," said Chmiel. "I just think it's going to be a battle. Any rivalry game is going to be a battle and we're looking forward to it. I think our kids will rise to the occasion."

"I think we learned a lot in the first game about their personnel and what we can do to defeat them this next time," Bowling Green guard Morgan Sharps said.

The Rockets and Falcons will tip off at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Stroh Center. If you can't make it to the game, it can be watched on ESPN+.
