INDIANAPOLIS — University of Toledo football star Quinyon Mitchell has been invited to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Mitchell, a defensive back, had a strong showing during the Senior Bowl but will now be able to showcase his talents in front of more NFL scouts at the combine.
The Florida native is expected to be a first-round draft pick in April. A CBS Sports mock draft has Mitchell being selected as the No. 21 overall pick to the Miami Dolphins. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has him slated as the No. 30 overall pick to the Detroit Lions.
The combine is set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 29, but defensive backs are scheduled to take part in combine activities on Friday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium. The combine can be watched on the NFL Network.
The NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 25 in Detroit.
