TOLEDO, Ohio — Football season is right around the corner.
The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University football programs will both be beginning the 2024 season at home near the end of August.
The Rockets are coming off a historic 11-3 season, but one that ended in disappointment with back-to-back losses in the Mid-American Conference championship game and the Arizona Bowl.
As for the Falcons, they're coming off their first winning season since 2015 after posting a record of 7-6. They ended their season with a loss in the Quick Lane Bowl for the second consecutive season.
In the 2024 MAC preseason coaches poll, Toledo was picked to finish second and Bowling Green was picked tied to finish third with Northern Illinois.

A big takeaway from Toledo and Bowling Green's schedules is the return of the Battle of I-75 to a Saturday on Oct. 26. The Mid-American Conference championship will be played on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Ford Field in Detroit at noon.
