DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings have announced a full slate of promotional giveaways and premium ticket packages with the return of some fan favorites to the lineup.

The promo schedule was unveiled Monday along with a video on social media showcasing a few of the top items for the upcoming hockey season.

Stick cases, bobbleheads and hats make up the majority of this year's promo items, with the ever-popular gravy boat on the list for the second straight year. Most giveaway items are in limited quantity, so you'll want to get to the arena early to secure yours.

The Red Wings open the regular season at home on Oct. 10 against Pittsburgh, with all fans in attendance getting the traditional opening night rally towel giveaway.

As for the rest of the items, here are a few highlights and a complete list of promotions, giveaways and premium items:

Oct. 17 vs. New York Rangers – Trapper Hat Giveaway (First 5,000 fans): The trapper hat is turning heads already with black and red plaid, ear flaps and the Winged Wheel up front and center. The last time the Red Wings did a similar hat-with-earflaps giveaway was the 2015-16 season at Joe Louis Arena, so it's probably a good time for an upgrade.

Oct. 30 vs. Winnipeg – Mickey Redmond Bobblehead Giveaway (First 7,500 fans): Red Wing alum and beloved broadcaster Mickey Redmond gets the bobblehead treatment again. This time, Mickey's on his own for the bobblehead and dressed in one of his postgame flannels complete with a broadcast headset, hockey stick and a nod to his famous catchphrase in the form of a "Bingo Bango!"-themed base.

Dec. 1 vs. Vancouver – Dylan Larkin Bobblehead Giveaway (First 7,500 fans): Dylan Larkin is entering his fourth season as captain of the Detroit Red Wings. Although he's been the star of multiple bobbleheads in the past, this will be the first time that bobblehead Larkin will be wearing the "C" (and a beard) in a stadium giveaway.

Nov. 21 vs. New York Islanders - Pavel Datsyuk Hockey Hall of Fame Night: Longtime Red Wings forward and "Magic Man" Pavel Datsyuk will be honored in recognition of his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The first 5,000 fans in attendance that night will receive a commemorative Pavel Datsyuk coin.

Nov. 23 vs. Boston – Zamboni Gravy Boat Giveaway (First 7,500 fans): This year's Zamboni-themed gravy boat was designed by a fan and selected by fans as the winner of a popular vote. The gravy boat has a retro look with a few nods to Red Wings history on the back, with "1926" honoring the year the Wings franchise got its start as the Detroit Cougars and a Cougars-inspired stylized "D" that was also used in the 2009 Winter Classic uniforms. Last year's ceramic gravy boat giveaway became a coveted item and came with the bonus of being worthy of display on the shelf or the dinner table.

Jan. 7 vs. Ottawa – Patrick Kane Bobblehead Giveaway (First 7,500 fans): Arguably one of the best American-born players of all time, Patrick Kane exceeded all expectations when he joined the Red Wings last November on a one-year contract after major hip resurfacing surgery that left his performance a bit of a question mark. Going almost a point-per-game, he re-signed with Detroit in the offseason. Appropriately, Patrick "Showtime" Kane's goal celebration will be immortalized in the Winged Wheel in bobblehead form.

The Wings are also offering special ticket offers bundled with limited edition items. Each premium package includes a game ticket and an exclusive specialty item, which range from scarves to shirts and jerseys. Prices vary from as low as $44 for Animal Rescue Night and a themed leash, to $140 for lower bowl seats and a shirt for Hockeytown Throwback Night.

Highlights include a Detroit Red Wings-themed football jersey for Fall Tailgate Night; themed jerseys for Star Wars, Grateful Dead, military and first responders appreciation nights; a rainbow scarf for Dec. 20's Pride Night; throwback t-shirts; Love Your Melon and St. Patrick's Day hats, and a Hawaiian-style shirt for "Margaritaville Night."
