SYLVANIA, Ohio — The 40th annual LPGA Dana Open is now down to its final 18 holes. Although the leader didn't change after Round 3, her margin did.
For the 3rd consecutive day, Chanettee Wannasaen finished her round in the 60s. With help from six birdies on Saturday (66) the 20-year-old from Thailand sits in prime position for her 2nd career victory.
"I'm not going to think about the result because I don't want to get stressed for tomorrow," Wannasaen said. "Just stay in the present time and don't think about the future."
As for the rest of the field, Haeran Ryu will be among the final group following a 3rd round of 65 (-13). Three golfers sit tied for 3rd place at -11. They are Ssu-Chia Cheng, Xiyu Lin and defending champion Linn Grant.
Fan favorite Stacy Lewis put together another solid performance to place herself in the Top Ten. She stands at -9 entering the tournament's final day.
"Played the front 9 really well. We were talking last night that it plays harder on this golf course," Lewis said. "Got off to a good start with birdies on 8 and 9, really just played solid all day."
