OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Fremont man, charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, made his first court appearance Thursday morning.
A Lucas County grand jury charged 24-year-old Jacob Greer with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide on Aug. 26.
Oregon Police say Greer rear-ended a car driven by 27-year-old Sean Lutzmann in early July. Lutzmann died from his injuries.
Witnesses to the accident told police Greer was speeding before the accident.
On Thursday, Greer's trial was set for Oct. 13. His license has been suspended, and he is subject to weekly drug tests.
Officials say muscle relaxers and marijuana were in his system at the time of the crash.
