TOLEDO, Ohio — Two people are dead after a car fleeing from police ran head-on into two semis on I-75 early on Thursday morning, according to TPD.
The driver and passenger of the car fleeing police were killed.
The crash occurred at I-75 northbound near Alexis Road shortly after 12:30 a.m.
A relative for 39-year-old Jeremy Diller confirmed that he was involved in the chase. TPD says Diller was the driver.

Police were pursuing a vehicle on I-75 northbound. The driver of the car drove onto the grassy area near the Alexis Road entrance ramp. The driver then turned around and drove the wrong way on the interstate and subsequently crashed into two semitrailers, according to police.

That vehicle involved in the pursuit was ripped into several parts. Some of the car was wrapped underneath the back of the semitrailers.
The remains of the semitrailer is taking up two lanes, and ODOT crews were called to the site of the crash to clean up the debris and take care of leaking fluid.
