Three suffer non-life threatening injuries after south Toledo crash

Police say one of the victims of the crash lost consciousness while driving, crashing head-on into the other vehicle involved.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Three people suffered non-life threatening injuries in a south Toledo crash Tuesday evening.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Heatherdowns and Eastgate Rd. around 4:42 p.m.

Police say Jeremy Cox, 42, was driving westbound on Heatherdowns approaching Eastgate when he lost consciousness and crossed the center line.

Cox's vehicle hit the vehicle of Mark Zydorczyk, 52, head-on. Zydorczyk was driving with passenger Ronald Zomkowski, 53.

Police say Cox regained consciousness at the scene while being treated by the Toledo Fire Department.

All three people involved were taken to UTMC with non-life threatening injuries.
