MAUMEE, Ohio — A three-month bridge closure of Fallen Timbers Lane over US Route 24 is starting and the project is to last until May 27, leaders with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced.
The closure is for a bridge rehabilitation project, which includes a bridge deck replacement, substructure rehabilitation, raising the vertical profile over US 24 and all associated approach work.
While the Fallen Timbers Lane bridge over US 24 will be closed, the ramps will remain open, allowing access to the Shops at Fallen Timbers, residential areas, and the Fallen Timbers battlefield.
Rebecca D'Angelo says you'll need to take detours or approach the ramps from a different direction if you usually access the area via the bridge.
The bridge is scheduled to be opened before Memorial Day and D'Angelo said the project was chosen to be one of the earliest of the 2021 construction calendar because of the effects the closure is anticipated to have in the area.
