TOLEDO, Ohio — A crash and hazmat situation have caused a roadway closure on I-475 in west Toledo Friday morning.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation "OHGO" site, all lanes are closed on I-475 eastbound beyond Secor Road due to a crash, which occurred around 11 a.m. A traffic camera shows a semi-truck stopped on the shoulder of the roadway.
Toledo Fire and Rescue are responding to the crash with a hazardous materials crew. Traffic cameras show what appears to be a spill near the stopped semi truck. An update from the city of Toledo described it as a "large diesel spill" and said the roadway would be closed for an extended period of time.
The closure itself extends between Secor Road and Monroe Street. Delays due to the closure have bene observed.
It is unknown if any injuries were suffered in the crash, or how many vehicles were involved.
