I-475 widening project to cause lane restrictions in Maumee

MAUMEE, Ohio — Starting Monday, motorists will notice lane restrictions on a portion of I-75 in Maumee.

475 between Airport Highway and U.S. Route 24 will have lane restrictions for an ongoing widening project and construction of a new interchange. Additional restrictions will be announced and will remain in effect through December 2024.

Continuing impacts of the project include:

The westbound U.S. 24 onramp to northbound I-475 is closed through November 2023. The detour is westbound U.S. 24 to southbound I-475 ramp to eastbound U.S. 24 ramp to northbound 1-475 ramp.

The northbound I-475 ramp to westbound U.S. 24 is closed through mid-August. The detour is Dussel Drive to southbound I-475 to westbound U.S. 24.

All traffic is maintained in the southbound lanes during work on the northbound lanes.

Also, U.S. Route 20A between Briarfield Boulevard and Ford Street will be closed for bridge construction through mid-November. The detour is U.S. 20A to State Route 2 to U 20/Reynolds Road/Conant Street.
