TOLEDO, Ohio — A stretch of Miami Street is closed Monday afternoon as crews work to clean spilled materials from the roadway.
A truck carrying what is believed to be lime is the source of the leak, according to a Toledo police officer on scene. The spill is not harmful, the officer said.
Miami Street is closed between First Street and the area of Navarre Avenue. Drivers should seek an alternate route.
Lime has numerous usages, including as a soil additive, construction, manufacturing and industrial purposes.
