OSHP: State Route 2 reopens between Port Clinton and 53 after downed power lines Thursday

State Route 2 has now reopened in both directions just west of the Port Clinton exit after Ohio Edison crews repaired lines downed by a truck Thursday.

PORT CLINTON, Ohio — Roads have reopened after crews repaired a downed powerline, which prompted a road closure of State Route 2 in both directions between Port Clinton and 53 Thursday evening.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a bucket truck took down a power line. Ohio Edison responded to the scene to make the repairs.

No one was hurt.
