TARTA bus crash damages vehicles, no injuries

A TARTA bus crash damaged several parked vehicles and traffic signals on Dorr Street.

TOLEDO, Ohio — A TARTA bus crash yesterday on the intersection of Waverly Avenue and Dorr Street caused several damages.

According to the Toledo Police report, the bus went off the right side of the road, hitting a traffic control box and damaging traffic signals. The bus then continued on the road, before crossing over and veering off the left side of the road. It drove through a fence at Sam's Auto Sale and damaged several parked vehicles, tires and vehicle parts. 

The police report says there were no injuries, but the TARTA bus suffered disabling damage. No passengers were in the bus. 

The 43-year-old bus driver was cited for the crash. 

WTOL reached out to TARTA but they declined to comment due to the incident being under investigation.
