TOLEDO, Ohio — A portion of a local bridge are closed Monday ahead of icy conditions arriving overnight into Tuesday, according to a social media post from the Ohio Department of Transportation Toledo District.
Crews have closed the inside lanes of the Veterans Glass City Skyway Bridge in both directions Monday morning. The partial closure was prompted by an incoming weather system forecasted to bring at least one-tenth of an inch of freezing rain.

The bridge, which travels along I-280 between north and east Toledo, will remain partially closed until ODOT announces its reopening. The department has not given an estimated time the lanes will reopen, but said drivers should give themselves extra time when driving in inclement weather.
