PERRYSBURG, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a motorcycle crash that happened Wednesday night in Wood County.
The crash happened on eastbound I-475 at the State Route 25 exit ramp around 11 p.m.
Troopers say 47-year-old Travis McDowell of Perrysburg was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle and was trying to get on EB I-475 from State Route 25 when he left the side of the road, hit a traffic sign and was ejected from the motorcycle.
McDowell suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to ProMedica Hospital in Toledo, according to troopers.
Officials say it is unknown at this time if alcohol was involved in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
