FINDLAY, Ohio — The National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday that a small tornado touched down Tuesday in Hancock County.
The EF-0 tornado hit the ground at 5:31 p.m. a half-mile south of Rawson and lifted at 5:40 a quarter-mile west of the Findlay airport. Peak winds were estimated at 80 mph.
The tornado was 25 yards wide and on the ground for 7.07 miles. There were no fatalities or injuries.
The NWS received numerous damage reports, including a metal roof ripped off a barn and a residential barn destroyed. Several power poles and trees snapped or blew over.
