Damage caused by the storms includes downed trees and impacted power lines.

The power throughout Grand Rapids Township is out Tuesday night, according to Fire Captain Nick Meko.

Area fire departments are assisting in damage assessment and response in the township as many trees and power lines are down.

It's "going to be a long night," Meko said.

A tree in the backyard of a west Toledo home fell just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, knocking down a wire and causing an electrical fire that burned holes in the roof and wall of the home on Sandringham Drive, according to the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department.

There were no injuries, no one was home at the time of the fire and the damage was isolated to the back of the home, according to TFRD. The home is not a total loss but will be unlivable for the foreseeable future.
