September Heat: On a near record-breaking pace

With no major cooldown on sight, this year's September will likely go down as one of the warmest on record for Toledo.

TOLEDO, Ohio — We are only halfway through the month but Sep. 2019 is likely to go down as one of the warmest on record for Toledo.

The next week will see highs 10-15 degrees above normal. Overnight lows will be quite warm as well. This is a well documented long term trend with late summer and autumn overnight lows increasing the past three decades.

The next week ahead promises to be warmer than normal as well. With high pressure likely centered over the eastern United States, there are few signs of autumn cold rushing in early this year.
