TOLEDO, Ohio — The calendar has flipped over to May, and now the spring flowers can take over.
To get the spring bloom, we needed the April showers. April seemed like it was quite wet, but when reviewing the data, April precipitation was below average.
There were many days where we saw rain, but there were not many super soakers.
One fact that won't surprise you is that April was cooler. Taking the whole month, temperatures averaged in the lower 60s, but the difference was actually a few degrees. April also had a frosty finish with cold morning lows, but that didn't stretch the data as much.
