TOLEDO, Ohio — Both active and retired union members will enjoy free admission at Toledo's National Museum of the Great Lakes on Labor Day.
During the museum's operating hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), eligible visitors will receive free admission to both the museum and the facility's museum ship, the Col. James M. Schoonmaker, as well as the museum tug boat, the Ohio. Normally, adult admission is $11 for the museum only, or $17 for admission to both the museum and the Schoonmaker.

The National Museum of the Great Lakes opened in Toledo in 2014 from its original location in Vermilion, Ohio, based out of the Great Lakes Historical Society. It sits in east Toledo, near the new Glass City Metropark. Its museum ships are moored in the Maumee River, adjacent to the museum.
