SANDUSKY, Ohio — With the Halloween season lurking right around the corner, Cedar Point is preparing to unleash screams in Sandusky with HalloWeekends 2024 starting Sept. 12 -- but this year's event will not include any new haunted attractions.
"We’ll have more detailed info in a future HalloWeekends news release," Cedar Point spokesperson Tony Clark told 3News in an e-mail Tuesday. "No new haunted attractions this year."
NEW SHOW: MIDNIGHT'S CURSE
Although there are no fresh haunts coming this year, there will be a new live show on the main stage known as "Midnight's Curse." Here's how it's described on Cedar Point's site:
Appearing from the darkest recesses of the mind is a club filled with fantastical sights and sinister shocks. The evening promises to be a real nightmare.
Clark did not elaborate on what to expect.
"More info later," he said.
While few details are currently known about this show, its listing includes a photo of the Mr. Midnight character, which has become an icon of HalloWeekends in recent years. Check him out below:
INDOOR HAUNTED HOUSES
Cedar Point has the following indoor haunted attractions listed for HalloWeekends:

Cedar Point has the following outdoor scare zones listed for HalloWeekends:

- Cut Throat Cove
- Blood on the Bayou
- Clownz: Hall of Infamy Tour
- Tombstone Terror-Tory: Doc McCoffer's Evil Elixirs
Two of these attractions have slight adjustments to their names. When Clownz made its debut in 2023, it was known as Clownz: Death Metal Tour. Tombstone Terror-Tory, meanwhile, now has a subtitle of Doc McCoffer's Evil Elixirs.
HALLOWEEKENDS 2024 DATES
HalloWeekends begins on Sept. 12, and runs every Thursday through Sunday until Nov. 2.
In addition to the haunted attractions and rides, HalloWeekends also offers a variety of live shows and activities for young ghouls and goblins -- including trick-or-treating in the park.
