PERRYSBURG, Ohio — It was a busy day at the St. Jude Dream Home on Thursday as dozens of people left their mark on another beautiful home nearing its completion.
Floor Signing Day is a tradition each year where everyone involved leaves behind a literal mark at the heart of the St. Jude Dream Home. While the signatures may not be visible once the home is complete, the impact will be felt through the money raised for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
"It's really apparent that these $100 tickets go to a wonderful cause," Mike White with Buckeye Real Estate Group said. "We're making a difference, our community's making a difference. Our subcontractors and our supplier base coming together give this community a chance to buy these tickets. Somebody's going to win this beautiful home for $100, but again it's about the kids."
Volunteers, contractors, subcontractors and construction workers, along with friends of St. Jude, signed the floor of the 2024 Toledo St. Jude Dream Home.
"The cause for St. Jude is a very good cause," Yousif Allos, owner of Universal Marble and Granite said. "Helping these kids and helping these families struggling to pay the bills, it just makes us feel better about ourselves and our town."
"It's awesome to see these people come out and be able to see the finished product," White said. "It's wonderful to see their hard work come together, the progress of the home, and just the love and dedication they give year in and year out on this beautiful build."
Floor Signing Day for 2024 Toledo St. Jude Dream Home
This year's St. Jude Dream Home is located in Perrysburg's Summerfield subdivision near Five Point Road and North Dixie Highway. It is another ranch-style house with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a two-car garage and around 2,250 square feet of space.
Plus, there is a golf simulator that can also serve as a home theater in the finished basement.

The home is valued at $500,000, but thanks to the community's generosity, it is once again a zero-cost build. Because of this, all of the money raised during the Toledo St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway will go directly toward St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill for treatment and all research is shared freely across the world, including right here in Toledo.
