About the Toledo St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway
Now in its eighth year with WTOL 11, the Toledo St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is one of the fastest-growing St. Jude Dream Home giveaways in the nation. The success has been incredible, raising a total of over $11.5 million over the course of the campaign.
In March, our WTOL 11 team visited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the lifesaving work being done there and shared nationwide.
The Toledo St. Jude Dream home has true local connections going back generations to Toledo’s Danny Thomas.
With this loyal connection to our history, this community has pushed the Toledo St. Jude Dream home to one of the largest and fastest-growing programs in the entire country.
We won’t stop there. As Thomas said, “No child should die in the dawn of life.” All the money raised goes to support the research at St. Jude that is uniquely and openly shared to accomplish Thomas' bold goal.
From St. Jude Ambassador and WTOL 11 Chief Meteorologist Chris Vickers:
"We are so grateful for the support! We chose an ambitious goal, raising $2,220,000 making this the LARGEST and most successful St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway in Toledo’s history!
This is also one of the largest and fastest-growing St. Jude Dream Homes in the entire nation ranking in the top 5 across the country.
It was a FANTASTIC success this year and we continue to soar into record territory. I appreciate the wonderful support from this entire community.
They have gone above and beyond supporting the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway on a RECORD year!"
