Police: Suspects broke into south Toledo business, stole cash from safe

The security DVR was also stolen, police said.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a burglary at a south Toledo business Thursday morning in which suspects allegedly broke into the building and cut into a safe, leading to several thousand dollars in losses to the business in the process.

According to a Toledo police report, law enforcement crews responded to the Save-A-Lot location in the 1700 block of Airport Highway at approximately 7:10 a.m. The manager told police they arrived at the business that morning and discovered it had been broken into.

Police claimed the store's office had also been broken into, where at least one suspect had also cut into a safe to steal cash and stole the security DVR. In the report, the total loss was described as being approximately $4,000. 

Crews took photos, dusted for fingerprints and collected evidence at the scene.
