TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was treated at a hospital early Friday after a shooting at the Ashland Manor apartments in central Toledo, according to a Toledo police report.
Authorities responded to a hospital regarding a gunshot wound victim and learned an adult had come in with a single gunshot wound to the lower torso around 2:30 a.m. Police spoke with the victim, who told police he was in the sixth floor stairwell of Ashland Manor when he was shot. The victim's injuries were described as "non-life threatening."
According to police, the victim "would not provide any other information."
Officers investigated at the location of the shooting, but said they could not find a scene or any witnesses. Police continue to investigate.
A homicide occurred at Ashland Manor late last year when Antron Tilman was shot and killed. Ashland Manor has also been the subject of recent scrutiny for its living conditions. The owners were ordered by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department earlier this month to clean the building.
If you have any information regarding this incident, police ask that you call or text Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111. You can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
