TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred over the weekend, according to law enforcement reports.
Police said they responded to the Family Dollar in the 3300 block of Glendale Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday regarding a robbery. Police arrived at the business in the Southland Shopping Plaza and spoke with employees, who said that a suspect wearing a ski mask entered the store and threatened them with a handgun.
The suspect then allegedly emptied the cash registers and fled the area on foot.
Law enforcement are also investigating an armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver Saturday. According to a police report, officers responded to the 2200 block of Caledonia Street in east Toledo just before 8 p.m. Police said the delivery driver said as she exited her vehicle, a suspect got into her vehicle and said, "I have a gun, and I will shoot you."
The vehicle was later located on Birmingham Terrace unoccupied, police said.
No injuries were reported in either incident, according to reports.
Toledo police did not indicate in the reports that either incidents were related.
