Police claimed a dispute led to the shooting, in which gunfire struck Herron in the chest, leading to his death. A police report states surveillance video obtained from the club corroborated the incident.
Kynard is due to appear in court for an arraignment Friday.
Police previously arrested 36-year-old Adrian Warren, who was charged and later indicted in Herron's death. Warren entered a plea of not guilty in the Lucas County Common Pleas Court and is awaiting trial.
