Toledo police: One person injured after drive-by shots strike vehicle, shattering glass

An 18-year-old was injured and a vehicle was struck multiple times, police say.

TOLEDO, Ohio — One person was injured after a vehicle was struck in a drive-by shooting in central Toledo late Tuesday.

According to a Toledo police report, two people were leaving a residence on Vance Street at approximately 10:30 p.m. when, as they approached Hawley Street, a vehicle crossed their path and fired multiple shots at them. The victims' vehicle was struck multiple times, shattering glass that injured an 18-year-old in the car.

Police responded to the scene, where the 18-year-old was treated for the injuries. 

Authorities continue to investigate. No suspects were named in the report.
