WOOD COUNTY, Ohio — A former northwest Ohio coach pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including attempted sexual battery, at the Wood County Courthouse Tuesday.
According to the court, Brady Spanfellner, who coached track with the Elmwood Local School District, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted sexual battery and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Court records show Spanfellner was initially charged with one count of attempted sexual battery in January 2024, a charge that was later dismissed in mid-February. Spanfellner was charged again on Feb. 22 with attempted sexual battery. He was then indicted on charges of attempted sexual battery, contributing to the delinquency of a child, illegal distribution of tobacco and failure to comply with underage alcohol laws.
Spanfellner is due back in court on July 23 for sentencing.
