Police, FBI investigating north Toledo bank robbery

Police say the suspect took an undetermined amount of money from the bank.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a robbery at a north Toledo credit union Monday morning. 

According to a Toledo police report, crews responded to the Jeep Country Federal Credit Union in the 500 block of East Manhattan Boulevard around 11:45 a.m. On scene, a teller told officers an unknown male suspect entered the credit union and handed the teller a note, demanding money. The suspect also claimed to have a gun.

The suspect fled the location on foot with an unknown amount of money, police said in the report. 

Police searched the area, but were not able to local the suspect. FBI investigators were contacted.

FBI said the suspect is approximately 50-60 years old and approximately over 6-feet tall, with a gray camo hat, blue jeans, light blue shirt, blue gloves with the fingertips removed and a fanny pack.
