TOLEDO, Ohio — Law enforcement are investigating after a shot was fired at a west Toledo apartment Thursday afternoon.
According to a Toledo police report, crews responded to the Larchmont Apartments in the 1300 block of Slater Street at approximately 12:30 p.m. regarding a shooting. A witness told police a man got out of a Chevy Impala, shot one round toward a dwelling, and fled in the direction of Lewis Avenue.
Police said a "grainy surveillance video" corroborated the witness' statement. Additionally, a resident in one of the apartments also claimed to have heard gunfire. Although no shell casing was located, police said they observed damage above the main entry door that may have been a bullet hole, but did not pass through the building's inner structure.
There were no injuries reported, according to the police report.
