TOLEDO, Ohio — A Lucas County grand jury has indicted a man accused of shooting a woman in the head in north Toledo.
David Ervin-Temple, 25, was indicted on one attempt to commit murder charge and one felonious assault charge for the Oct. 13 shooting near the intersection of Lagrange and North Erie streets.
Toledo police found Rashawnda Smoot, 24, suffering from one gunshot wound at a parking lot near the scene after responding to a domestic violence call.
Ervin-Temple fled the area before police arrived but was later found at Locust and North Summit streets and was taken into custody.
Smoot was in "critical condition" following the shooting, according to police. An update on her current condition is currently unknown.
